Center for Pediatric Voice Disorders

The Center for Pediatric Voice Disorders at Cincinnati Children’s offers a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the larynx (voice box). Our team of otolaryngologists, speech-language pathologists and nurses all play key roles in evaluating and treating your child’s voice disorder. We also work closely with your local healthcare providers to ensure your child has the long-term care she needs to achieve the best possible outcome.

At the beginning of your visit to the center, our team members will ask questions about your child’s medical history. Specifically, we will be interested to know:

  • How long your child has had a problem with his or her voice
  • How problems with the voice affect your child in social and school situations
  • If your child has had any previous speech or voice therapy
