TSC Expertise and Support Services

Global Leaders in TSC Care

Our specialists are internationally known for treating tuberous sclerosis complex and related mTOR disorders. Families travel from across the U.S. and around the world for our experience with both common and rare forms of TSC.

Coordinated Care Across Specialties

TSC can affect many parts of the body. That is why our clinic brings together experts in neurology, nephrology, pulmonology, genetics, cardiology, psychiatry, developmental pediatrics and other specialties.

This team-based care approach helps families receive coordinated evaluations and treatment recommendations in one place. We work together to create a personalized care plan based on your child’s specific needs.

Innovative Treatments and Clinical Trials

Cincinnati Children’s helped lead clinical trials that resulted in the first FDA-approved treatment for TSC. Our experts lead global research studies, educate healthcare teams around the world and help shape future TSC treatments.

Our team also offers specialized care through the TSC TAND Clinic. This clinic focuses on TSC-associated neuropsychiatric disorders (TAND), including behavior, learning, mental health, sleep and developmental concerns.

Personalized Support for Families

Each family works closely with a dedicated clinic coordinator and scheduler throughout the care journey. Our team helps collect medical records, organize testing and coordinate visits with multiple specialists.

Families also have access to in-person and telehealth appointments when appropriate. Many patients come to Cincinnati Children’s for expert second opinions and continue follow-up care closer to home through virtual visits.

Care for Patients Across the Lifespan

TSC affects patients differently at every age. We care for patients before birth through adulthood, including adults in their 80s.

Our team focuses on whole-child and lifelong care. We support you and your child’s medical, developmental and emotional needs while helping families prepare for each new stage of life.
