About

Biography

I am a pediatric cardiologist at Cincinnati Children’s specializing in pulmonary hypertension. I care for patients through our Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, as well as in our acute care cardiology and outpatient cardiology services. My clinical work focuses on children with pulmonary hypertension related to genetic conditions, congenital heart disease, and developmental lung disorders.

My research is centered on improving how we assess pulmonary hypertension in children using non-invasive imaging. Currently, cardiac catheterization is required to diagnose and monitor this condition. I’m working to develop and validate the use of echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging as alternative approaches that could reduce the need for invasive procedures while still providing the detailed information needed to guide care.

I completed my pediatrics residency through the Boston Combined Residency Program, followed by fellowships in pediatric cardiology at Cincinnati Children’s and in pediatric pulmonary hypertension at Boston Children’s Hospital. I returned to Cincinnati Children’s because of the depth of clinical and research expertise here, not just in treating children today, but in shaping how we care for them in the future. As a clinician-scientist, I was drawn to the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, the Heart Institute, and across the hospital to advance the science and care of pediatric pulmonary hypertension.
