For those accepted into internship:

Educational Components

  1. Formal written case study. 
  2. Formal Research Review and Best Evidence Statement as guided by assigned EBP mentor.
  3. Participation in staff led in-services on topics related to Child Life Competencies.
  4. Weekly meetings with internship coordinator.
  5. Internship project. 
  6. Weekly written assignments on topics that facilitate translation of theory to clinical practice.
  7. Final presentation to Division of Child Life & Integrative Care.

Clinical Practice Components

  1. Individual therapeutic interventions.
  2. Daily journal of experiences.
  3. Weekly Assessment, Planning, Intervention and Evaluation tool reflecting on work with patients and families.
