In 2012, when Steinert US was looking for a way to have fun as a company, it also decided to do something good for the community. The Walton, Ky.-based manufacturer of high quality salvage, recycling and recovery plant equipment for international mining decided to ask its employees what organization they’d like to band together and support – and the response was overwhelmingly Cincinnati Children’s.
“Our employees were asked to suggest organizations for the donation back when this was first started,” says Colleen Hines, Marketing Manager for Steinert. “Cincinnati Children’s was suggested and the company voted to support it – it was a total team effort.”
The original fundraiser, a golf outing, was such a success, that the company decided to continue raising funds for Cincinnati Children’s through our Giving Hope Program. This year they are again incorporating their fundraising into their Expo for current and potential clients.
During the Expo, Steinert offers certification courses as well as classroom training and executive sessions. In the evening, customers are invited to the casino night. Donations are collected at the door, and all funds raised benefit Cincinnati Children’s.
