Lab Capabilities

The Interventional Radiology lab features state-of-the-art equipment and is staffed with the technical expertise of interventional radiologists and technologists to perform, assist, evaluate, train and teach a wide range of both intravascular and percutaneous image guided procedures including, but not limited to: 

  • Ablation
  • Angiography
  • Electrophysiology mapping
  • Embolization
  • Medical device placement
  • Onco-intervention

The interventional radiology lab is physically connected to a 1.5T MRI and both areas are BioSafety Level 2 (BSL- 2). Combined with an additional dedicated modern ultrasound system, the facility offers a unique opportunity to perform a broad array of multi-modality imaging and image guided intervention during a single experiment.

Non-invasive imaging offered at the lab includes:

  • Fluoroscopy (live x-ray)
  • C-arm cone beam CT
  • Ultrasound
  • MRI
