Perinatal Institute Research
Research is an integral component of the Perinatal Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Our collaborative programs encompass a broad array of clinical and basic science research areas, making Cincinnati Children’s an unusually rich environment for healthcare research.
We are constantly striving to remove the barriers between basic research and clinical care and to encourage multidisciplinary collaboration that advances care for all newborns, including infants born prematurely or with birth defects. The goal of research within the Perinatal Institute is to understand the entire reproductive process – from the time before conception to the time after birth – to improve maternal and infant outcomes.
