The Division of Allergy and Immunology has specialized clinics and closely collaborates with other centers and divisions within Cincinnati Children’s to provide comprehensive and personalized care to our patients. Our collaborative approach to evaluation, consultation, therapy and clinical research studies ensures that our patients receive the benefit of experts in several disciplines, which is important not only for the management of rare disorders (such as eosinophilic disorders, immune deficiency and histiocytic disorders) but also for more common conditions (such as allergies and asthma).

Drug Allergy Program
The Drug Allergy Program diagnoses and treats drug allergies in children in the Greater Cincinnati area and in patients referred nationally. The program offers penicillin allergy testing services (PATS).

Food Allergy Program
Our Food Allergy Program provides expert care, innovative treatments and cutting-edge research for children for food allergies. This program includes a specialized clinic for standardizing protocols for peanut oral immunotherapy. The division is recognized as a Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) Clinical Network Center of Excellence.
