The Division of Sports Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s is focused on enriching the lives of children and adolescents by physical activity and sport. We strive to deliver expert clinical care to young athletes, pioneer research for sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, and build deep relationships within our community to improve physical activity for youth.
What is Sports Medicine?
Unsure if you or your child should see a sports medicine doctor? Our team offers diagnosis and treatment of injuries received or pain experienced as a result of physical activity, sports-related activities, or accidents. Examples include: ankle, knee, and shoulder injuries; muscle strains; joint dislocations; and overuse injuries such as tendonitis and stress fractures.
We also treat patients for non-musculoskeletal sports medicine problems such as sports-related concussions, exercise-related breathing problems, return-to-play decisions after illness, nutrition and performance assessment, and more.
Telehealth Visits Now Available
Sports Medicine offers Telehealth visits, for both new and follow up visits. To inquire or schedule an appointment, call 513-803-4878 (HURT). Learn more.
Meet Our Patients
Our team of experts help to make dreams a reality. Through the partnership of the Athletic Training Program at Cincinnati Children’s and the Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy, athletic trainer and former gymnast Sharon Frank was on site at the meet and witnessed Brooke's injury first hand.
