Phuong completed her PhD at Chosun University in South Korea. As a research fellow in Dr. Timchenko’s lab, she is investigating the mechanisms of NAFLD and other liver diseases.
Leila obtained her PhD from the University of Rhode Island in 2014 in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a concentration in Pharmacology and Toxicology. While there, she studied liver homeostasis and disease with respect to bile acid synthesis. Leila joined Dr. Timchenko’s lab in December of 2014 as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and is working on elucidating the mechanisms of pediatric Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Hepatoblastoma.
Mary is a senior biology major at Mount St. Joseph University in Ohio. Her role in Dr. Timchenko’s lab is to assist with mouse injections, creating buffers, work with PCR, and overall maintenance of the lab.
