Neurodevelopmental Physical Therapy Research
Neurodevelopmental Physical Therapy Research emphasizes optimized care delivery. We embrace a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving. Strong collaborative relationships are in place within the hospital and community, including the division of Rehabilitation Medicine, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery as well as Physical Therapy departments at the University of Cincinnati and the College of Mount Saint Joseph.
We have responded to the demand for evidence based practice by strategically growing the scientific arm of clinical practice. Over the last five years, junior faculty members have demonstrated early success in grant awards, publications, and presentations.
Current Research
Our current research focuses on four thematic areas. These include:
- Cerebral Palsy Intervention
- Self-Management in Chronic Care Populations
- Improving Health Care Systems for Patients Seeking Pediatric OT/PT services
- Quantitative Biomechanics
Research in health service utilization is another dedicated area of work, spanning all thematic areas.
