About

Biography

I’m a sleep and pulmonary medicine doctor who focuses on sleep disorders and cystic fibrosis. I believe that many factors contribute to health, and my part in managing a disease is to improve as many pieces of my patients’ health as I can.

The unique perspective children have on life and medicine inspired me to pursue my career. I find their outlook exciting and working with children brought so much joy and fun to my job that I couldn't pass it up. I want my patients to look forward to our appointments. I also want them to find it is an opportunity for them to be heard and have autonomy in their care.

In 2018, I was recognized with the Courage to Teach award by The Ohio State University. This award is for those who demonstrate a passion for medical education and commitment to teaching. I really enjoy working with residents and students, so this award was particularly meaningful to me.

With our teams’ research, we're studying the impact of certain pulmonary diseases on sleep and mental/behavioral health. We're also looking into how mental and behavioral health may affect our ability to keep patients as healthy as possible.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and travel!
