Weekly Hospital Volunteer Opportunities
Help a Child and Reduce Stress on Families
Cincinnati Children’s offers many opportunities for volunteering. All volunteer efforts support the needs of our patients, families and staff. Dropping off toys and games in rooms, offering parents breaks, supporting the needs of outpatient clinics, and helping the hospital school program are just a few of the things our volunteers do. In addition to more traditional hospital volunteer roles, we also offer experiences supporting specialty preschools for programs like the Therapeutic Interagency Program (TIP) or The Aaron Perlman Center and participating in our Volunteer Dog Program.
All adult and college volunteers, other than those in the dog program, are scheduled one time per week, typically for two-three hours, and must commit to the same day and time each week for at least six consecutive months.
Volunteers are present on our campuses seven days a week, from early mornings until well into the evening. While not all shifts are available at any given time, we work closely with each applicant to try to identify a day and time that works for their schedule.
If you have recently experienced the loss of a loved one, please wait several months before you consider applying. If you are currently seeking employment, please wait until you are established in your new schedule and routine before applying.
