Dance Medicine
We provide expert care for dancers of all ages, focusing on injury recovery, safe return to dance, and performance improvement. Our specialists include pediatric-trained sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and athletic trainers who work together to create personalized care plans for each dancer, supporting overall health and wellness.
Integration with additional medical services is available, as needed, such as:
- Therapeutic exercise (including Pilates reformer, progressive ballet technique and strength and conditioning principles)
- Imaging modalities (x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and US guided procedures)
- Dance specific evaluation (dance technique and pointe shoe assessment)
- Nutrition services (including body composition analysis)
- Orthopedic surgery and complementary medical specialties
What is the Dance Clinic?
The Dance Clinic is designed for dancers who are injured or returning to dance after an injury. Our team evaluates recreational and competitive dancers to help them recover, prevent future injuries, and improve their technique. Services may include:
- Injury assessments
- Performance recommendations
- Pointe shoe evaluation (if necessary)
