Specialty Clinics Offered Using Telehealth

The Center for Telehealth works with a variety of our providers and specialties to make specialty care available to children outside of Cincinnati through partnerships with outside institutions. We have regularly scheduled specialty clinics throughout our region and in other states to ensure patients have access to the care they need even if it isn’t available to them in their local community. Our specialists work closely with providers at the outside institutions to provide patients with the best care.

A doctor at Cincinnati Children's can provide consultation with international families.

  • Outpatient consultations and specialty clinics in places such as the Dominican Republic, Michigan, Minnesota, Kentucky and West Virginia provide patients timely access to a variety of Cincinnati Children’s specialists. Without telehealth, many of these patients would have limited or no access to specialized pediatric services.
  • School-based health programs leverage telehealth to connect providers in Sports Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine with students in the local schools.

‘This is amazing’

“Twelve years without knowing a diagnosis. Now with a new (telemedicine) approach the patient has a known and treatable condition. This is amazing.”
