What specific services does the clinical program offer? 

Schroth Physical Therapy is a form of Scoliosis Specific Exercise that is recommended by the Scientific Society on Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment as part of a team based approach to treating kids with idiopathic scoliosis. It includes a variety of postural positions and exercise that are designed to address your child’s individual spinal curvature.

Who would benefit from the program?

Children with a diagnosis of Juvenile or Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis

AND, who:  

  • Are growing quickly or in a growth spurt
  • Have pain 
  • Have been referred for or already have a brace 
  • Have a stable curve but continue to have pain and limited success with traditional physical therapy 

What makes the team experts?

Our Schroth therapists are all Orthopedic Clinical Specialists with additional training in Scoliosis management.  They received Schroth Certification (BSPTS Concepts by Rigo) from the Schroth Barcelona Institute which is the leading provider of Scoliosis education for physical therapists in the USA. The therapists provide comprehensive evidence based care through collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, primary care and sports medicine physicians, and orthotists.
